Many across the world are donating to the American Red Cross. United Airlines are offering bonus miles for donating to the Amerian Red Cross.
Here's a look at what energy companies and industry service companies are doing to help.
Caterpillar
The Caterpillar Foundation donated $300,000 to the Red Cross to help with immediate relief efforts.
Cheniere Energy
Cheniere Energy will make a $1 million donation to the Red Cross to help with relief and recovery efforts.
Chevron
Chevron is making a $1 million donation to the Red Cross. The oil and gas company will also match donations made to relief efforts by its employees and retirees.
Exxon Mobil
Exxon Mobil is donating $500,000 to Red Cross organizations along the U.S. Gulf Coast to aid with relief efforts.
General Electric
The GE Foundation has donated $500,000 to the Red Cross. It will also match employee donations to participating disaster relief organizations.
Phillips 66
Phillips 66 will contribute $1 million to the American Red Cross to assist relief efforts arising from Hurricane Harvey and the resultant flooding in southeast Texas.
Range Resources
Oil and gas company Range Resources announced a $100,000 donation to the Red Cross for Harvey relief aid.
Sempra Energy
The Sempra Energy Foundation will make an immediate contribution of $75,000 to the American Red Cross Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund and an additional $75,000 donation to Americares in support of relief efforts in Texas and Louisiana. The Sempra Energy Foundation also will match up to an additional $50,000 in Sempra Energy companies' employee donations.
Southern Company
The Southern Company Charitable Foundation will donate $100,000 to the American Red Cross to aid Hurricane Harvey relief efforts. In addition, the company has established a donation matching program for employee and retiree contributions.
Companies like Microsoft, Wells Fargo, Walmart, United Airlines, Starbucks, Google, JpMorgan, Apple, Cigna, Amazon and more are also committed making contributions to the relief effort....
